Where do you want to be tomorrow?

  • Must be 18 years of age or older or have written permission from a parent/legal guardian.
  • Complete an interview with Admissions in person, by phone or video conference.
  • Complete an enrollment agreement.
  • Provide a copy of a high school diploma, high school transcript, GED, or equivalent document if the applicant completed secondary education in another country. Documents from non-English speaking countries must be translated into English and evaluated by an approved educational evaluation service certifying that the degree/credits earned are equivalent to a degree/credits earned at an accredited institution of higher education or are at least equivalent to a U.S. high school diploma. Applicants will not be required to provide proof of high school graduation when providing the following:
    • Official transcripts of college credit or a degree earned from an authorized institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
    • If the documents are from another country: An evaluation of an official transcript by an approved educational evaluation service attesting the degree/credits earned are equivalent to a degree/credits earned at a U.S. licensed institution of higher education.
    • Acceptable postsecondary educational institutions include institutions licensed by the U.S. Department of Education or institutions recognized by the Department/Ministry of Education of the country where the institution is in operation.
  • International or non-English-speaking U.S. resident applicants who choose to enroll in English-language programs must provide proof of English proficiency based on the tests and scores outlined in section 9.2 of the catalog. English proficiency testing is not required for applicants who:
    • Have graduated from a licensed high school, college, or university in the United States.
    • Come from one of the following countries: Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Canada, Dominica, Ghana, Guyana, Ireland, Jamaica, Liberia, New Zealand, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tobago, Trinidad, United Kingdom or Zimbabwe.
    • TOEFL Waivers: Panamerican University will consider, on a case-by-case basis, waiver requests from applicants who fall into at least one of the following categories:
      • The applicant has completed, with a minimum GPA of 2.0, at least one year of full-time study at a recognized high school, college, or university whose primary language of instruction is English.
      • The applicant has completed a high level of English language study at a language school and has proof of a passing score on an intermediate level English proficiency test.
    • Applicants who do not achieve the required scores on the English proficiency tests and who are willing to pursue an academic program in English will be offered an English as a Second Language program (see catalog section 9.3).
    • Applicants who wish to complete their program in Spanish must possess the required academic documentation from a country where Spanish is the primary language of instruction (see catalog section 9.1).

 

In addition to the general admission requirements, applicants to the master’s program must:

  • Provide a current resume indicating education and complete work history.
  • Hold a four-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent credential (such as a bachelor’s) awarded by a postsecondary educational institution and provide official transcripts.
  • Applicants who have earned a three-year bachelor’s degree from the following countries will be considered: Australia, Canada, Bangladesh, New Zealand, Pakistan, Bhutan, Nepal, South Africa, Sri Lanka, India, Guatemala, and European countries that are part of the Bologna Pact.
  • A university degree in a specific field is not a requirement; qualified students from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply, however, there are specific requirements for some applicants who do not come from professional or academic backgrounds such as Business, Engineering or Technology. The admission decision is based on a combination of a student’s undergraduate academic performance, relevant professional experience, and letters of recommendation.
  • A Bachelor’s degree level, (or equivalent).
  • Three (3) years of relevant work experience is recommended. For Global Executive MBA applicants, three years of relevant professional experience is a mandatory admission requirement.

Additional admission requirements for the Global Executive MBA:

Applicants without an academic background in Business, Engineering or Technology must take our internal math proficiency test as part of the admission process. If students fail the test, they will be required to enroll in a Basic Mathematics course (3 credits), which will not count as part of the program’s academic credits. Students must pass with a C or higher in the Basic Mathematics Course. Students may not begin the program without meeting the basic math proficiency requirement established by Panamerican University. For the Global Executive MBA, all applicants must provide proof of at least 3 years of relevant professional work experience.

Additional admission requirements for the Executive Master’s Degree in Digital and International Marketing:

Applicants without an academic or professional background in Business or Marketing must meet the following two requirements:

  • Take a Marketing Fundamentals competency test as part of the admissions process. If students fail the test, they will be required to enroll in a Marketing Fundamentals course (3 credits), which will not count as part of the program’s academic credits. Students must pass with a C or better in the Marketing Fundamentals Course. This course will be offered by Panamerican University. Students may not begin the program without meeting the Marketing Fundamentals competency requirement established by Panamerican University.
  • Admission to the Executive Master in Digital and International Marketing program will be registered as conditional admission until the following two courses are passed with C or higher:
    • MBA-125 International Business
    • MBIM-131 Fundamentals of Marketing Analytics and Big Data.

Additional admission requirements for the Executive Master’s in Digital Transformation and Innovation Management:

Applicants with no academic or professional background in Business, Engineering or Technology will be registered as students with a conditional admission status until they pass with a minimum of C or higher in the following two courses:

  • MDTI-110 Principles of Technology Management in Business and Organizations.
  • MDTI-131 Introduction to Digital Technologies, Applications and Tools.

Students wishing to enroll in individual courses must complete an Application for Admission. During the application process, the student selects degree-seeking status. There are no prerequisites for non-degree seeking students, however, students will be responsible for having the prerequisite knowledge for any course in which they enroll.

Registration Processes

A student wishing to enroll after the enrollment deadline (which is the class start date of each term) may do so with the registrar’s approval and up to the add/drop period, which is one week prior to the start of the term.

Prospective students must complete an Application for Admission. Upon completion of the admissions process, the university will determine if the prospective student is accepted into the selected program and is eligible to enroll in classes.

Once admitted, the student must complete an Enrollment Agreement that lists the selected program, language, and costs.

To enroll in classes, students must have academic and administrative clearance, which includes the requirement that all tuition and fees be paid by the required dates.

The Panamerican University catalog is available online on the University’s website for all applicants to review. Applicants receive instructions on how to access the online catalog prior to their interview. The catalog is reviewed during the interview with the applicant. The applicant is encouraged to ask questions and is given additional clarification. The applicant signs the Enrollment Agreement and attests that he/she understands the terms and conditions of attending Panamerican University. Upon review of the application and enrollment documents, the university will determine if the prospective student is accepted into the selected program and is eligible to enroll in classes. The applicant will be informed of the admission decision by letter within three (3) business days after the interview and submission and review of all required documents.

Scholarships and financial assistance

The PU Scholarship Program:

Coverage: The plan covers up to 50% of tuition.

Eligibility: Any student attending Panamerican University who maintains a minimum GPA of 3.0 and/or a maximum family or individual income of $60,000 per year.

Term: The student may receive scholarships not to exceed 50% of tuition for the full duration of the academic program.

How to apply for financial assistance programs?

You will be asked to provide the following documentation:

  • Fill out and submit the completed financial assistance application.
  • Submit the required financial information to determine your financial need.

Notes:
The Financial Assistance package is based on tuition and fees, student contribution and the enrollment status within an academic year.

You must reapply for institutional financial assistance in an academic year. The scholarship amount award for a registered student may vary based on the Panamerican University scholarship committee’s analysis of financial status and academic performance.

Tuition rates for Panamerican University’s academic programs are determined annually and are subject to change and revision.

Tuition:
Panamerican University offers programs in a hybrid format, part synchronous and asynchronous, 100% online. Credit hour costs do not include additional fees.
